Hi Mats, welcome to BUMAX! What are your first impressions of the company?
That BUMAX produces world-class quality fasteners, and that we have deep expertise in fastener technology, production and sales. A screw of the right quality and strength can enable a customer to optimize an end product to make it more resistant, compact, light weight and durable.
What do you do in your current role?
My task is mainly to help customers with orders, inquiries and find customer-specific special beyond-standard solutions with support from the great expertise we have within the company.
What do you like about your job?
I enjoy finding good solutions for particular customers. This is not only satisfying for me, but it also develops customer/BUMAX trust and strengthens the BUMAX brand as a solutionist.
Tell us about your career before BUMAX?
I have just worked for three years as a project buyer at one of Sweden’s leading installers for the Oil and Petroleum depots in Sweden. Before that, I worked for 35 years in the Ahlsell Group within sales to Swedish industry.
What would you like to achieve at BUMAX?
I want to be perceived as a ‘service-minded’, structured and experienced salesperson that customers can rely on, and who they can turn to when they need help.
What is the best thing about working at BUMAX?
I would say my varied range of tasks. This involves working with everything from our standard products to complex customized products that may have to be investigated in terms of material quality, corrosion resistance, strength, fatigue requirements, traceability, safety, etc.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I am heavily into music and play the electric guitar in a rock cover band in Örebro.
