Hi Jonas, welcome to BUMAX! When exactly did you start your role?
I started working part time in March this year while I completed my bachelor’s degree in industrial economics. I then began working full time in the beginning of June.
What are your first impressions of the company?
My first impression of the company is great! I feel that BUMAX is associated with familiarity, professionalism and strong pride for its excellent products.
What is your role at BUMAX and what does it involve?
My role at BUMAX is Quality Engineer. The role involves planning, securing and developing the quality of processes and products at the BUMAX production facility in Åshammar. For example, one of my assignments will be to make sure that the IATF 16949 quality management requirements are met – with the aim to exceed expectations.
What do you like about your job?
I really like the combination of both management and manufacturing assignments. The job gives me the opportunity to work with quality on an overarching management level while at the same time working hands-on in the factory to improve quality.
Tell us about your career before BUMAX?
I began my working career in the Swedish armed forces and after a few years I moved on to the fiber optics industry. I recently completed a degree in industrial economy as I’ve always been interested in technology and data, and now BUMAX is a great opportunity for me to further develop my knowledge and skills.
What is the best thing about working at BUMAX?
For the brief time I’ve been at BUMAX, the best thing has to be the helpfulness and kindness that everyone has shown me. My colleagues have really taken me in and made me feel welcome. I think that this brings out the best in everyone and increases the potential for us to collectively create value.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I’ve always been a sports guy, mainly football and ice hockey, but I have got into the racket sport padel in recent years. Otherwise, I spend much of my spare time together with my girlfriend, family and loved ones. Travelling has also been a big part of my life that I can hopefully rediscover now that pandemic travel restrictions have eased.
